Alison Tristram – I’m an independent designer and maker. My many years of experience in several disciplines (graphic design, print, textile art) form the foundation for this collection of hand-printed and hand-stitched items.

Most pieces begin with natural, plain fabrics onto which I block print my design. Each hand-cut printing block makes just one element of a pattern. Designs are built up in layers. The placing of the blocks and colour choices are decided in the moment, which is what makes each piece unique.

For me, contemporary design goes hand-in-hand with the most traditional textile skills. Hand stitching is my great pleasure. Whilst every item of jewellery is hand crafted, with the quirks and character of a handmade piece, I delight in finishing every item immaculately.
